Meet Brashaya
I am a total water baby myself! I quickly found my love for swimming at a very young age and will spend any free time in any body of water. Plus, I’ve always loved working with infants and toddlers and watching them grow, so Water Babies seemed like a perfect mixture of my two favourite things.
Being able to play a role in sharing that love of water and joy for swimming while nurturing a positive and fun environment for both parents and children is incredible.
What is your favourite thing about being a Water Babies teacher?
My favourite part about teaching is witnessing the very beginning of your newborn or toddler’s relationship with water. Watching them go from being unsure to splashing, kicking and smiling is incredibly fulfilling. Every little moment is a milestone – whether it be doing a stroke or simply blowing bubbles in the pool, and each one is special.
What is your most memorable moment as a teacher?
One of my most memorable moments so far was when two very nervous twins began to love the water. I remember them being very cautious and crying throughout class at the beginning, but now they are loving their swimming lessons. Seeing them wave and smile at the sight of me and enjoying being in the pool is greatly rewarding. Watching them grow little by little and experiencing these joys with their parents will always be my favourite.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
