Meet Gabi
Before becoming a teacher, I was a Lifeguard and Meet & Greeter for Water Babies. While I loved getting to interact with the babies, toddlers and their families through these roles, I was eager to play a bigger role in their swim journeys and to have fun in the pool myself… so I became a teacher, and I haven’t looked back since!
What’s your favourite part about teaching?
My favourite part about teaching is witnessing each swimmer’s progress – especially when they finally master a skill they’ve been working hard to achieve. It’s so exciting, and these are the moments that really stick with me.
What is your favourite Water Babies skill and why?
My favourite is definitely Row, Row, Row Your Boat on the mat because it’s a super fun way to work on balance, rotation & kicking!

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
- Water Familiarity – Helping your baby feel comfortable in the water.
- Natural Reflexes – Developing instincts into core aquatic skills.
