Teaching with Water Babies has been such a rewarding experience. I absolutely love watching my little swimmers grow through the program, from tiny newborns splashing in the water with their parents’ support to confident toddlers who can swim on a noodle and explore the pool with independence and joy. Seeing that growth and confidence bloom over time is truly heartwarming.
What’s your favourite part about teaching babies and toddlers?
My favourite part about teaching is being part of each little one’s journey in the water. Every class is full of smiles, giggles, and small but meaningful progress. It’s amazing to see how much they learn and how proud parents feel when their child becomes more comfortable and confident each week.
What’s your most memorable moment as a Water Babies teacher?
Some of my most memorable moments are when the babies in my classes start learning my name and call it out during lessons. Those sweet, personal connections make every swimming lesson even more special. It reminds me how much trust and joy we build together in the water, and that’s what makes being a Water Babies teacher so meaningful to me.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
