I’ve been in the water since I was a baby, and I’ve always had a love for swimming. The Water Babies program caught my attention because it combines two things I care deeply about: working with children and helping them begin their swimming journey. Being part of an infant’s first experiences in the water is such a wholesome and meaningful experience.
What’s your favourite part about working with Water Babies?
My favourite part is forming bonds with infants and toddlers. It means so much to see their faces light up when they come to swimming lessons and are excited to see me. Watching them grow, gaining confidence, and enjoying their time in the pool is the best part of my job.
What’s your most memorable moment as a Water Babies teacher?
My most memorable moments are when my little swimmers give me little gifts as they say goodbye. It is always bittersweet and sad to see them move on, but so heartwarming to know I have made an impact on their journey.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
