Working with little ones in the water is something I truly enjoy. It’s amazing to see infants and toddlers grow in confidence, learn new skills, and have fun with their parents during swimming lessons. Being part of those early experiences and helping families feel comfortable and connected in the water is something really special.
What’s your favourite part about being a Water Babies teacher?
My favourite part is knowing I’ve made a difference in a child’s or carer’s life. Seeing little ones smiling, laughing, and having fun in the pool while learning such an important life skill is so rewarding. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that what we do helps families build trust and confidence in the water together.
What’s your favourite skill and why?
I love the first underwater swims. Watching a newborn go underwater for the first time and seeing the parents’ reactions is always an amazing moment. It’s full of pride, excitement, and a sense of accomplishment for everyone involved.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
- Water Familiarity – Helping your baby feel comfortable in the water.
- Natural Reflexes – Developing instincts into core aquatic skills.
