Meet Carol
I love working with infants and toddlers! When I discovered there was a way to combine my two greatest passions: water and children, I knew I’d found the perfect place for me.
I grew up spending endless hours in the pool or at the beach – swimming has always been one of my favourite things to do. Now, getting to share that same love of water with so many babies is truly special.
What’s your favourite part about teaching newborns and toddlers?
What I love most about teaching is seeing how much confidence the little ones gain in the water, and creating a space where parents can connect and be proud of their little ones.
I care so much about my swimmers that I dream about new ways to help them feel more confident and independent in the pool!
At Water Babies, it’s all about making swimming lessons fun and engaging to help children learn through play, and I take that to heart.
What’s your most memorable moment as a Water Babies teacher?
There have been so many special moments, but what stands out most is meeting all the amazing families here in Mississauga.
Building trust with parents and seeing the beautiful connection that grows with their little ones week after week is truly special.
Watching them learn, celebrate every milestone, and enjoy quality time together in the pool reminds me why I love what I do every single day.

How our lessons work

Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.

30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.

Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.

Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.

What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
- Water Familiarity – Helping your baby feel comfortable in the water.
- Natural Reflexes – Developing instincts into core aquatic skills.
- Independent Swimming – Learning different strokes and swimming freely.
- Water Safety – Essential skills to stay safe in and around water.
- Confidence Building – Encouraging self-assurance in and out of the pool.
We follow Swim England’s framework, ensuring structured, expert-led progress. You’ll be amazed at what your little one can achieve!

Amazing lessons that build confidence!
My daughter and I have been loving Water Babies! We started when she was 6 months, and now at a year old, we’re still going strong … Also the safety skills that we work on multiple times a class, every week, will soon become second nature and that gives me great peace of mind.

We love Water Babies
It’s a great way to get your little one comfortable in the water and help them learn how to swim (…) The way they use stories, songs, and the other babies in the class, makes it really easy for the parent and the baby to enjoy it.”

Child Development and Safety
“I am an Early Years Teacher and appreciate the developmentally-appropriate lessons (verbal cues, movement, visual cues, and song), adult instructions … [Water Babies] focuses on water safety. This is important to us as parents, especially as we travel as a family of three and have friends with pools.”
– Amy and Oliver (Kingston)
