I’ve always loved working with infants and toddlers and being in the water, so becoming a Water Babies teacher felt like the perfect fit. I love seeing little ones grow in confidence, learning new skills, and having fun with their parents. It’s such a joy to be part of these special moments and help families build a positive, safe relationship with water from the very beginning!
What’s your favourite part about teaching?
My favourite part about teaching is seeing the ‘lightbulb” moments – when a child or toddler masters a new skill or gains confidence in the water. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of their journey and to see their joy and pride. I also love the special bonds that form between families during swimming lessons. It’s such a positive and uplifting environment to be in!
What’s your most memorable moment as a Water Babies teacher?
One of my most memorable moments was when a very shy little one, who’d been nervous about the water, finally grew the confidence to jump in during a class. He’s loved the water ever since, and I get to continue to watch them grow more and more with every lesson.
Moments like that remind me how special and meaningful these lessons are – not just for water skills, but for building trust, confidence, and joy in the pool together.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.
What we’ll teach you
Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
