It’s been such an incredible experience watching little swimmers grow in confidence and joy in the pool week after week.
I’ve always loved working with babies and toddlers, and combining that with my passion for swimming makes this job so special. I love seeing them splash, smile, and develop new skills every week. It’s amazing to watch their progress and the bond they build with their parents in the pool. It’s truly a fun and inspiring environment to be in.
What’s your favourite part about teaching?
My favourite part about teaching is seeing those “wow” moments when a baby floats for the first time or a toddler proudly kicks across the pool. Watching their confidence bloom and seeing parents’ faces light up with pride makes every class so worthwhile. The joy and laughter we share during lessons make it such a heartwarming and uplifting experience to be part of.
What’s your most memorable moment as a Water Babies teacher?
One of my most memorable moments was when a little one who used to be afraid of the water started becoming much more comfortable swimming in the pool. He even built up the courage to blow bubbles underwater, and now he doesn’t want to leave the pool! Seeing that transformation reminds me how meaningful these lessons are. It’s not just about swimming, it’s about building genuine connections with both the children and their parents.

How our lessons work
Supportive lessons
Taught in a friendly group atmosphere, one carer per child and one of our teachers in the pool in each lesson.
30 minutes long
Lessons take place each week, so it’s a wonderful way to bond with your baby away from the craziness of life.
Have fun!
Skills are taught through song, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment when you’re in the pool.
Tailored progress
Our teachers will tailor each lesson to your little one’s ability, so it’s only when they’re ready, we’re ready.

Our program helps your little one develop essential swimming skills, confidence, and water safety from day one. We’ll teach you to teach your baby to swim.
