From Parent to Teacher
Brittany’s story with Water Babies Canada began as a mom with her son, all while pursuing her career as a physiotherapist. She quickly fell in love with the program and joined our team as a teacher in Toronto.
Taking the Leap: Becoming a Franchise Owner
When Brittany and her partner moved back to her hometown in Kingston to be closer to family, they saw an opportunity to take their passion for the program a step further by becoming franchise owners.
While franchising was new to Brittany, she felt confident stepping into the role thanks to Water Babies’ structured support system. She shares:
“A lot of aspects of running a franchise, especially around finances, was completely new to me. But they have such a comprehensive and structured approach to walking you through it.”
Reflecting on the First Year
In Franchise Canada’s article, Brittany reflects on her first year running her own business. She shares both the challenges she faced and the rewarding experiences of building a business that makes a tangible difference in her community. As she notes, “she loves the business she’s built and has no regrets.”
Brittany credits Water Babies’ franchise system for making the transition into business ownership manageable. “I never have to reinvent the wheel with any financial templates or spreadsheets. There’s a process for everything, so I can take those and adapt it. That obviously saves so much time. They’ve already gone through it, so they’ve learned what works and what doesn’t
She also highlights the ongoing support she receives from the team:
“They’re amazing. We really felt fully supported.”
