A Shared Love for Water
For sisters Raj and Guntaj, water has always been more than just a place to swim. Growing up around the water, it’s where some of their most cherished memories were made.
“Being in the water from such a young age shaped our confidence and comfort, and it’s something we’ve carried with us ever since. It’s a big part of why helping little ones feel safe and happy in the water means so much to us.”
Different Paths, Shared Purpose
While both sisters followed different professional paths, Raj as a law clerk and Guntaj with a corporate background in health and safety, they always shared a common goal: to build something together.
“We always talked about building something together. Something meaningful that reflects who we are.”
A Story That Started in the Pool
Their journey truly began when Raj enrolled her little one in the Water Babies program at just four months old.
From the very first class, she was impressed not only the opportunity it gave her to bond with her son, but also how quickly he became confident and comfortable in the water.
Seeing the impact firsthand, Raj invited her sister Guntaj to take her son to a class so she could experience it for herself. Together, they instantly connected with what Water Babies stands for. They knew right away this was something we wanted to be a part of and bring to other families.
Their Vision for the Future
Now, Raj and Guntaj are preparing to expand Water Babies Canada into the Halton, Guelph, and Waterloo regions, bringing their shared passion to even more families.
Looking ahead, their focus is building a community and supporting little ones and their parents.
“In a year, we hope to have strong, thriving communities of families and a space that people truly love being part of. We’d love to be known as a trusted place, not just for swimming lessons, but for connection and growth for little ones.”
